Brentwood City

Commissioner

Here is a quote about how much Brentwood means to me and the passion I have to preserve all that makes it special.

Meet Nelson!

Brentwood has been home since I was a kid. I work here, own a business, and have raised my family in Brentwood. Now, with the open seats on the commission, it seems a natural next step to share my many experiences and to continue to work hard to preserve Brentwood as the best place to live, work, and learn for all.

Nelson's Vision

Explore my vision on

Arts & Culture

City’s cultural industry is famous for its innovation and experimentation, its entrepreneurial energy and risk-taking. It is this that explains why the music, books and films we make are enjoyed all around the world and why it is one of the most visited cities.

Housing & land

The social issue is of ensuring that members of society have a home in which to live, whether this is a house or some other kind of dwelling. Many governments have one or more housing authorities, sometimes also called a housing ministry or department.

Policing & crime

The policy that requires police to inherit a proactive approach to address public safety concerns. The overall assessment of community-oriented policing is positive, as both officers and community members attest to its effectiveness in reducing crime.

Environment

In such areas where man has fundamentally transformed landscapes such as urban settings, the natural environment is greatly modified into a simplified human environment. Even acts which seem less extreme, such as building modify the natural environment.

Education

State governments set overall educational standards, often mandate standardized tests public school systems and supervise, usually through state colleges. Private schools are generally free to determine their own curriculum and staffing policies.

Volunteering

Volunteering may have positive benefits for the volunteer as well as for the person or community served. It is also intended to make contacts for employment. Many volunteers are specifically trained in the areas they work, such as medicine or education.

What People Say About Me

As the head of the Brentwood High TV & Film department, I truly appreciate the financial commitment the City of Brentwood makes to our school, some of which filters down to our program. As a long-time sponsor of WBHS 9, I know Nelson will continue to support the efforts of my student filmmakers and the entire school system.

I’ve lived in Brentwood for over forty years and the Andrews family have been a staple in our community. I’ve served with Nelson in a professional capacity and know him and his family on a personal level. I’ve witnessed first-hand his excellent leadership and his love of the community he calls home. Nelson is exactly the right person we need to conserve the Brentwood of old while helping navigate the future of Brentwood.

I have known Nelson and his family for over 25 years. Nelson cares deeply about the community. He will bring the acumen of a businessman coupled with the passion of one who grew up here. His desire to see Brentwood maintain the standards that define it, yet evolve in a planned manner will serve us all well for many years in the future. I cannot imagine anyone who is better prepared for this important role.
